an affordable neighborhood for locals, close to town.
A community worth calling home ...
...is one that takes care of its own.
Gunnison County needs more housing
When we talk about affordable housing, it’s easy to get lost in a jungle of numbers and charts. We start seeing our neighbors as statistics and the homes they desperately need as “units.”
But bricks and mortar aren’t the heart of this story — YOU are. It’s about hard – working people like you, holding down vital jobs; families hoping to put down roots and make a difference here; children living in less than healthy conditions.
Tough decisions about where and how to build affordable homes for the future will be easier once we’ve settled the most important question of all: What kind of community do we want to be?
The best of all answers: One that takes care of its own.
This is a magical place. But everyone agrees, living here can be a real struggle. Most of us work multiple jobs — and still barely get by.
If you can find a place to live, chances are the rent is way too high. Some of our less lucky neighbors are camping through the summer months, couch surfing or living in cars — all for the chance to be a part of this community.
At The Corner at Brush Creek, every person on our team of local architects, designers, artists and professionals knows how that feels. We can afford, where you want to live.
